Salsa



This is a recipe from my friend, Sharmila.

(Prepare and leave it in the fridge a day before serving.)

Serrano Pepper – 6 or 7
Garlic - 4 pods

Boil these two in ¾ cups of water until half the water is evaporated. Cool them well.

Cilantro – ½ a bunch

Run these three items in a chopper or food processor with the water.
Hunt Crushed tomato – 28 oz
Salt – to taste

Add the tomato and salt and blend it in the food processor

Hunt cut tomato tin – 1 - 14.5 oz
Then add the cut tomato and blend it again.
I didn't use Hunt's tomato cans since I had plenty of cherry tomatos from my backyard. I just blanched them before use.
