Chutney Powder

Here is a simple but tasty recipe for chutney powder that goes well with idlis and dosas.

1 cup of urad dal
4 whole red chillies
salt as required
a pinch of asephoteda

Put a heavy bottom pan on medium heat and fry the above ingredients. Once the urad dal and chillies start turning brown, remove the pan from the stove and wait for it to cool down. Grind it in a mixer along with a couple of cashews.

1 cup yogurt
1 cup cold water
1 pod of cardamom
2 tbsp sugar
Blend all the above in a blender.
