Fish Curry - Kerala style
Tilapia Fish Fillets – 2
Tamarind Paste - 1 small lemon size Tamarind + water

Coconut milk – ¼ - ½ cup (as per taste)
Ginger – 1 or 2 inch piece
Green Chilly - 2
Garlic – 2 or 3 big cloves
Chilly Powder - 1 heaped tsp
Paprika - 1 heaped tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric - 1/4 or 1/2 tsp
Methi powder - 1/2 tsp
Ginger – 1 or 2 inch piece
Green Chilly - 2

Chilly Powder - 1 heaped tsp
Paprika - 1 heaped tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric - 1/4 or 1/2 tsp
Methi powder - 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves
Salt – as per taste
Small onion/shallots – 1 or 2 tbsp
1) In a little bit of oil saute ginger, shallots and galic.

2) Mix all the powders into a paste adding a little bit of water (Chilly powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, methi powder, salt) and roast in a slow fire.
3) Add Tamerind paste, curry leaves and ½ cup of water (if needed).
4) Add fish pieces - let it cook on medium to slow fire.3) Add Tamerind paste, curry leaves and ½ cup of water (if needed).
5) Once fish pieces are cooked, add coconut milk and switch off the fire.
Fry sliced shallots/small onions in oil till it turns golden and add to the curry at the very end.
